Appointment reminders, recall campaigns, and custom message templates.
Connecting patient messaging
Clinit supports instant messaging and SMS for clinic communications:
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Patient messaging
- Follow the setup wizard to connect your clinic channel
- A sender number or channel is provisioned for your clinic
- Test by sending yourself a message from the test panel
You can enable SMS fallback when instant delivery is unavailable. Delivery rates are typically 95%+ for Egyptian mobile numbers.
Appointment reminders
Once connected, configure automatic reminder sequences:
48-hour reminder — "Hi [name], this is a reminder of your appointment at [clinic] on [date] at [time] with Dr. [doctor]. Reply CONFIRM to confirm or CANCEL to cancel."
24-hour reminder — A shorter follow-up if the patient hasn't confirmed
2-hour reminder — Day-of reminder with clinic address and parking info
Reminder timing and message templates are customisable per doctor or appointment type. Patients who confirm are marked CONFIRMED automatically. Cancellations update the appointment status and free the slot for other bookings.
Recall campaigns
To re-engage patients who haven't visited in a while:
- Go to Marketing → Recall Campaigns
- Click New Campaign
- Set the target segment: e.g. "Patients not seen in 6 months who had a dental cleaning"
- Write or select a message template
- Click Preview List to see which patients will receive the message
- Schedule or send immediately
All campaigns are tracked: sent, delivered, read, and replied. You can see which patients booked after receiving the campaign.
Custom message templates
All message templates support dynamic variables:

Templates must be approved before broadcast (usually within 24 hours). Pre-approved templates for common use cases (reminders, payment, recall) are included by default.
