AI Features

All 20+ AI endpoints explained — from clinical summaries to demand forecasting.

Last updated May 2026

How the AI works

Clinit uses OpenRouter to access multiple AI models with automatic fallback:

Priority chain: GPT-4o-mini → GPT-3.5-turbo → Llama 3.3 70B → Gemma 3 27B → Gemma 3 12B

The best available model is used based on latency and availability. If the premium model is down or slow, the system falls back automatically — you always get a response.

All AI outputs are presented as suggestions that require clinical review. Clinit AI does not make clinical decisions. Every AI response is clearly labelled "AI-assisted".

Clinical AI (session)

Clinical Summary — Generates a structured SOAP note from: chief complaint, vitals, examination notes, diagnosis, and plan. Available from any session screen.

Prescription Review — Analyses the full medication list for: drug-drug interactions, contraindications with known conditions, dosing errors, and duplicate therapy.

Discharge Summary — Generates a structured hospital-format discharge summary from session data. Includes diagnosis, treatment given, medications on discharge, follow-up plan.

Referral Letter — Drafts a professional letter to a named specialist. Includes relevant history, reason for referral, current medications, and urgency.

Specialty AI

Cardiology Risk Narrative — Interprets SCORE2, GRACE, CHA₂DS₂-VASc results in plain language per ESC 2021 guidelines. Provides specific treatment recommendations based on risk tier.

Dermatology Severity Interpreter — Interprets PASI, SCORAD, DLQI, IGA scores against EADV/BAD treatment ladder. Suggests step-up therapy when scores cross thresholds.

Pediatric Growth Interpreter — Interprets Z-scores for weight, height, BMI, and head circumference. Flags failure-to-thrive (<-2 SD), obesity (>+2 SD), and growth velocity deceleration.

Developmental Screening — Reviews developmental milestones against age-appropriate benchmarks and flags potential delays with recommended referral actions.

Myopia Predictor — Analyses historical spherical equivalent measurements to predict myopia progression trajectory and recommend management intensity.

Isotretinoin Monthly Monitor — Reviews monthly safety parameters (CBC, lipids, LFTs, pregnancy test) and generates a monitoring alert if any parameter is out of range.

Physio Outcome Interpreter — Interprets DASH, WOMAC, VAS, and other outcome measures to assess treatment response and recommend progression or discharge.

Analytics AI

Demand Forecast — Predicts appointment volume for the next 4 weeks based on historical booking patterns, seasonality, and current booking trends. Helps with staffing decisions.

No-Show Predictor — Calculates a no-show risk score (0–100%) for each upcoming appointment based on: historical no-show rate, time since last visit, confirmation status, appointment type, and time of day. High-risk patients receive an automated personalised WhatsApp message.

Recall Priority — For dental clinics: ranks overdue recall patients by risk factors (time since last visit, periodontal risk score, caries activity) to optimise outreach order.

Patient Brief — Before an appointment, generates a 3-bullet summary for the doctor: chief complaint (from last visit or triage), outstanding investigations, and current medications. Available from the appointment detail.
