The Patient Portal: Giving Patients Secure Access to Their Own Health Records

A patient portal reduces inbound calls by 40% and improves treatment adherence. Here's what Clinit's patient portal offers and how to activate it for your clinic.

What a Patient Portal Does

A patient portal is a secure, patient-facing app or web page where patients can:
  • View upcoming and past appointments
  • Access their prescriptions and medical reports
  • View and pay invoices
  • Communicate with the clinic
  • Access their home exercise programs or post-procedure care instructions
The portal reduces inbound calls — patients who can check their prescription or appointment status themselves don't call. Clinics report 35–45% fewer enquiry calls in the 90 days after portal launch.
